Wishbones for Pets Announces
Regional Directors for 2008 Good/Funds Drive

Plymouth, MA. October 5, 2008 – Wishbones for Pets, a charitable organization benefiting pets in need and hosted by pet sitters throughout the United States and Canada, is pleased to announce its new Regional Directors.
Wishbones for Pets, which runs from October 15 through November 30, is a yearly program by which professional pet sitters work with local businesses to collect pet supplies, food, and money to benefit needy pets in their local communities. This year, Regional Directors, who are also professional pet sitters, have been appointed to serve as champions for the cause as well as liaisons between Wishbones for Pets and pet sitters in their area. They will help get the word out about Wishbones for Pets and answer questions new pet sitter participants may about the implementation of the program.
The newly appointed Wishbones for Pets Regional Directors are:

Janet Depathy, founder of Wishbones for pets, says, "Our Regional Directors are very concerned about pet welfare and have graciously volunteered their time and effort to make a difference. We believe they will be able to reach out to pet sitters from around the country, get them involved, and in turn, help many pets in need."
Pet sitters interested in implementing the program in their area, are invited to visit the website (www.wishbonesforpets.com) where they will find information on how to register as a Wishbones for Pets representative. They’ll also find information on how to get started, as well as contact information for the Regional Director in their state. Similarly, non-profit pet welfare groups may visit the website to learn more about how the Wishbones for Pets program may benefit pets in their care. They are encouraged to contact pet sitters in their local area to invite them to be a representative for their organization. Working together, pet sitters and pet welfare groups can make a difference for many pets in need.
Wishbones for Pets was started in 2004 by Janet Depathy, a professional pet sitter in Plymouth, MA. It is the first pet sitter related charity open to all professional pet sitters in the United States and Canada, and runs annually from mid-October through the week after Thanksgiving.
